The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort had two cogeneration systems installed at their hotel. Elite installed two EnviroGen modules to reduce costs of heating water for pools, showers and washing machines. We also produced electricity as well.
Hotels are an excellent candidate for cogeneration as they consume large quantities of hot water. Washing sheets, guests taking long showers and heating pools consume enormous amounts of energy. Hotels also have a reasonably high base electrical load due to customers running air conditioning 24/7.
